United Fellowship of Hypnotherapists Association

Code of Conduct.

The codes of conduct herein constitute the structured code of ethical practice to which Hypnotherapists whom may be attached to, listed with or registered within the U.F.H. organisation must adhere to within procedures of clients interests and needs within context of therapeutic work. Contravention of a code is disregard of clients and may result in discreditable listing and or discharge from a said listing or register within the organisation at any time.
 

1:A. Client confidentiality is the highest prominence, confidentiality is binding in client/therapist relation and stays so, divulgence of information without a clients written and signed consent which should be independently witnessed is a betrayal of ethical trust and conduct, even when directed at a clients legal spouse or guardian or otherwise.

B. A practitioners termination of client therapy when incomplete of the therapist own accord without seeking appropriate advise of a senior association member is not in the clients best interest, (confidentiality by way of a theoretical case history is inapplicable)

C. Refusal to treat a client on the basis of personal financial gain due to clients financial status , when a client need is greater, is a contravention of the UFH code of conduct.

D. Unnecessary prolonging of a clients therapy for financial gain is a violation of the client/therapist trust and is in breach of UFH conduct.

E. Client dependency should at all times be avoided by all therapists within the UFH organisation, this is not in the interest of clients and a therapist should take steps to protect clients from this circumstance at all times in all cases.

F. All hypnotic work between clients and therapists should be produced in accordance of a clients request leading to therapeutic benefit and for no other reason.

2:A Adequate public liability insurance cover is required to be maintained at all times by UFH members, details of such cover should be made available for inspection by the organisation prior to each annual renewal of membership, failure to supply evidence results in transgress of conduct and standard requirements rendering membership void.

B. Liability cover to be displayed at the main working base of a therapist at all times and at any reasonable time by reasonable request to be made available for view by any person so wishing to do so in respect of clarification of such a matter of indemnity.

C. All certification of professionalism be displayed and made available for inspection and clarification by any persons at any reasonable time by reasonable request in regard of a therapists distinction or otherwise.

. D Periodic tutorial be undertaken by therapists as supplied by the organisation within periodical intervals to maintain competence and professionalism, such tutorials may occasionally incur additional revenue to a therapist

3:A Ridicule of therapists of any profession or association is ridicule of personal professionalism and an attached association, such matters should be dealt with through the correct channels of an organisation concerned.

B Undermining of therapists by reputed inadequate or sparse competence or to state that a personally practiced therapy is of higher regard than another of similar profession is breach of conduct.

C. Touting of business by telephone or otherwise without invitation or request should not take place and is an invasion of client/public privacy, clients should make initial contact and requests without forcible measures of a therapist.

D. Unfair charging in respect of therapy in respect of fellow therapists of any profession is repulsion of personal professionalism and ethics by all means.
4:A. Information of a therapist organisation will be delivered to clients upon clients request for whatever reason at anytime in regard of complaint or otherwise.

B. Misconduct of ethical codes may result in dispersion of UFH recognition which the organisation reserves the right to implement without refund of membership duty.

C. Upon request of a client members will supply information of the association to such a client for complaints to be directed for whatever reason to the organisation for consideration.

D. In events of complaints by clients to the organisation, members are required to furnish details upon reasonable request in defence of any such case, failure to comply without regard will result in dispersment of AUFH/ MUFH.

E. Matters of complaint procedures, matters are taken up by the UFH on initial basis and may confer and represent client and therapist in resolvement.


5:A. Annual duty of membership subscription should be promptly submitted when due, failure of discharge is contravention of members reliance and results in disposal of UFH recognition.

B. Implication of dispersement of members recognition requires a member to discontinue membership and use of any UFH accreditation or recognition by any means.

C. Breach of copyright of any UFH product, Logo or otherwise by any member where an item is supplied within a closed market for personal use is in breach of copyright and of membership code of conduct.

D. UFH disclaim any claim and or remittance by therapist or client in respect of ethical codes and standards of conduct and or practice of any wrong doing brought about by therapists non-compliance of such codes or by inadequate capability of a therapist to perform a professional service as requested by a client at any time, such matters are dealt with by a therapists personal indemnity and or liability.
